Beauty Hack: Milk of Magnesia
I'm sure you are thinking, okay Alana, we don't need to know all about your laxative purchases. To that I say yes, this product is marketed as a digestion tamer, but it also is a killer makeup primer and face mask. When I saw this at the 99 Cent Store, (yes I shop at dollar stores), I was immediately reminded of when a makeup artist used it on set. I asked her what it was, unfamiliar with the product but she explained the cooling and mattifying effects it has. I bought it and have been using it since.
I put it on right after I moisturize. It is best for oily skin and is water based so it can be difficult to apply, I find it easiest to use a makeup brush or a cotton ball. After applying I give it about two minutes to dry, the voilà, your skin is like a smooth canvas.
